Book description via Amazon:
Carter, Claire and Gavin have formed the perfect little family. Their friends are getting married and everyone is growing up, maturing and ready to face the future. Or are they?
From bachelorette party hell, porn addictions, dinner roll baseball and botched wedding proposals to finding out everyone’s extended family is chock full of crazy, Carter and Claire begin to question the strength of the ties that bind them. Unfortunately, these ties have nothing to do with fuzzy handcuffs and everything to do with the mounting differences between them.
Will their friends make a mess of things with their inappropriate comments and need to know everything, or will they convince the couple that happily-ever-after sometimes really can start with beer pong?
WARNING: CONTAINS SEX, DRUGS AND ROCK N ROLL. Wait, no. Just sex and drugs. And boose and filthy language. Do not read if you have no sense of humor.
This is the sequel to Seduction and Snacks (my last post is my review for it). After finishing Seduction and Snacks I just had to continue Carter’s and Claire’s story. I love these 2! Though I still love Seduction and Snacks more, this was a great sequel.
It continues to alternate between Carter’s and Claire’s POVs and is consistent with their snarky banter, sarcasm, and steamy love scenes. It also has a lot of really sweet moments. *Sigh* Damn that Carter. Because of him, my expectations are at ridiculously high levels. It had the same effect on me as the first in that I was still laughing out loud throughout most of the book. It picks up a little while after the first book ends and we are taken through the journey of their blossoming relationship. They get to know each other even more and we start to see them slip out of their honeymoon phase a little; some of their flaws and insecurities come out and we get to see how they go about either avoiding or addressing their issues. We’re also introduced to Claire’s mom, probably where Claire inherited her spunk, and Carter’s parents.
I cannot get enough of this series! This has to be my favorite ‘happy’ series. Can’t wait for the 3rd and last book, which I believe is going to center around Drew and Jenny.
